Does The Nintendo Switch Download In Sleep Mode
Does the switch download from eshop in sleep mode while undocked?
Then I was downloading FIFA 18 and every time my switch goes to sleep style during undocked manner and I come back to information technology a picayune bit later i detect that the wifi is not connected and the download is paused. Is it supposed to happen like that? Does the switch turn off wifi and downloads to conserve battery life while in sleep mode when not docked?

Information technology seems that way for me.
It'southward a flake half and one-half for me though. Quite oftentimes I wake my NS from sleep, and it said that updates were downloaded. Everytime I actively download a game though, it seems to cut off during sleep mode.

I've noticed that it tends to stop if you put it into sleep mode (printing the button), but keeps downloading if it puts itself into sleep fashion (don't printing the button).

Okay I tin can confirm that this method works. Finally realized that it I only let the switch go to sleep then information technology keeps downloading. Thanks!

I have no thought why it would not, only I have successfully downloaded games while the panel is asleep. Kickoff, I initiated a download and and then placed the console on my nightstand, in sleep fashion. Be it via the power button or using the home card, the results were the aforementioned.

Seems to piece of work for me... I brought Zelda to work yesterday to play at tiffin but I approximate I hadn't re-downloaded everything since switching SD cards. I had an hour i/2 download so I started it, popped out the cart, played something else for a flake, then put the Switch into slumber style.
When I got dwelling from work the download was finished.

Yeah, thats how i always downloaded games since my room is far abroad from the router. I undock information technology and place it side by side to the router, wait an hr and voila!

You lot have to put information technology into slumber mode by method if belongings the home push button down and selecting sleep mode. For some reason if you employ the power push button it cuts off the WiFi. Also seems to assistance the download speed vs leaving it on.

Idk why this function is not explained more by Nintendo and why the blue led nosotros have on the joycon/pro controlled us not used to alert the states about this.

My Switch never goes in the dock (but remains plugged to the charger most of the fourth dimension) I have non had any downloads stop when it goes into sleep mode. Might be because it is plugged to the charger and mayhap it does stop if non.
